What this directory is

Malaysia Dentist Guide is an independent directory and comparison resource covering 738 cafe businesses in Kuala Lumpur. It is for anyone who wants to compare cafes in the city without wading through scattered reviews and outdated listings.

We also generate enquiries for local providers. When you ask to be matched, we pass your enquiry to providers relevant to your request, and we may receive a referral fee. Referral arrangements never affect scores or earned rankings. The quote page repeats this disclosure at the point where you make a request.

Who publishes it

The directory is published by Meridian Guides (meridianguides.my), which has produced independent city directories for everyday services across Malaysia since 2025. Kuala Lumpur is where it started. Meridian Guides is the party responsible for the rankings you see here.

Editorial oversight sits with Janice, Editor, who maintains the rankings. If you have a question about how a listing was scored, Janice’s team is the one to ask.

How listings get here

We pull public business data, such as names, addresses, opening hours and contact details. We then synthesise recent Google reviews into a summary of what customers are saying. We do not republish review text. Where you want to read the original reviews, we link out to Google.

How rankings are earned

Rankings come from a published rubric and from data, nothing else. The full scoring method is written up on the methodology page. Nobody can buy a higher position, and nobody can ask for one.

Data refresh and “last verified” stamps

Every listing is re-checked monthly. Each one carries a “last verified” stamp, so you can see when it was last looked at and whether it is being actively maintained.

Sponsorship

Some businesses pay for extra visibility. Sponsored placements are labelled “Sponsored” and shown separately from the earned results. Payment does not change a score, a sentiment summary or a ranking.

What listed businesses can and cannot change

A listed business can correct its own facts, for example a wrong phone number, new opening hours or a changed address. It can never edit its own score, sentiment or ranking. Those come only from the rubric and the public data.
